... I wanted to email you and tell you how much I
appreciate your help. My life gets better and better.
You have helped me face things about "me" that I
never looked at before. As a person with ADD, which was so hard for me to
acknowledge, I often disappointed others which ultimately lead to me
disappointing myself. I thought I needed to "fix" something. But you helped me
to see I needed understanding. I needed to understand that the way I am is not
a disease. Its a gift. I can use it to my benefit.
Trying to grasp what ADD is has been a journey.
Sometimes a painful one. When I went to the doctor and received medication,
that seemed to help a lot. But I have created so many bad habits, reacting to
life in my ADD persona. The medication helped with the mechanism of ADD, but
that wasn't enough. Enter Ken Zaretsky!!! Your coaching has helped me with
the application of life. It has helped me to identify what it is I want, where
I want to go, and what I have to do to get there. I find my self still
dreaming dreams, but more and more I am setting goals and reaching them. There
is a difference. Dreamers dream dreams, but rarely accomplish much. With ADD
the dreams are constant and the time slips by and they all stay in our head.
Doers set goals and work at achieving them. You have helped me to start
becoming a doer and not just a dreamer. The habit I had was letting life just
happen to me each day, carrying me hither and thither and ending up in the
same place over and over again.
Time is a reality now. It is one directional and I
find myself recognizing its finality. I am getting more deadline oriented. If
someone were to ask me, "should I take medication for my ADD?" I would tell
them it definitely helps the brain work better. But without coaching it will
not change who you have become. We think a certain way. We have had our
dreams, but we let life happen instead of making it happen and opportunities
and time and even people go by. Your coaching has helped me to learn how I
can control what I am going to do. I still slip into my bad habits, but life
is getting better and better.
Thank you for your coaching. You have done so much
for me.

"As a spouse of someone with A.D.D., learning about A.D.D. and (more
importantly) understanding the dynamics of it was essential in my relationship
with my husband. We began sessions with Ken Zaretzky in the summer of
2002 and we swear by his teachings. It has made such a difference in our
young marriage. Ken's "hunter theory" in explaining how the mind of a
person with A.D.D. works helped me to accept and understand my husband's way
of thinking. Our communication methods are wonderfully improved.
Furthermore, Ken's compassion and thorough knowledge make sessions with him
enjoyable. We consider Ken a friend and confidant to our marriage.
Without him we don't know where we would be right now. Before we began
working with him our marriage was filled with frustration and conflict, which
family and friends told us just came with the territory of being newly
married. After meeting with Ken we realized that was not true in our
case. I was unable to accept the concept of A.D.D. and thought my
husband would "just grow out of it." After our initial meetings with Ken
I thought I would try "taming the hunter" and it worked."

"I have walked a million miles
and have seen a thousand skies
only to feel lonely and weak.
I have read scripture
and prayed in temples
only to be afraid and alone.
In a Dark Forest
I can hear the Beast.
A wind blows a direction, and again
I am lost.
Where is nature's light they call Sun?
All I see is a canopy of trees...
Then along the way...as I wipe away a stream
I see a map and compass. There is hope. The dawn of a new day has shown me
some tools I had misplaced when I started my journey. UMMM...imagine, that?
Now
I need to find the keys....
Thanks Ken Zaretzky. for giving me my first toolbox. These tools are worth
more today than yesterday....good investment!! Thanks to you. You have
allowed me to uncover....only to discover "Self". I am finally understanding
and accepting the world of ADD. Which is not the end of the world...it can
sure feel like it at times, but It can also be the beginning of
"re-learning some important lessons in life" with the right support and
professional guidance. Thanks Coach.

"I look forward to my coaching sessions with Ken each week as I’m guaranteed
to arrive at a new insight or perspective, every time.
In order to work with Ken as your coach you have to be willing to admit how
truly great you are."

"I highly recommend Ken as a coach, a coach trainer and coach mentor to any
and all potential coaches who are truly serious about making coaching their
vocation, their career and as you likely know, as who they are in their
life."
