Advocacy at IEP and 504 Meetings

An IEP or section 504 plan meeting can be a daunting proposal for the parent of a child or teenager with Attention Deficit Disorder. A good plan may make the difference between your child succeed in or failing in school.

The process can be intimidating and confusing. Parents may not know what to ask for. They may not know what is possible. The school may be resistant to and accommodations that you may propose. Often the school itself may not know what to do or what is possible.

While this is not coaching, advocacy at IEP and Section 504 meetings is a process that Name and Title has become expert at. He will meet with you before the meeting, plan the approach and then appear with you as your advocate at the meeting. Often one meeting is all it takes. This can save you significant time, money and emotional stress compared to other options.

In most cases Ken can negotiate an excellent IEP or 504 Plan that benefits your child without the need for legal action of any kind.  However, in the event that Name and Title believes that you need even more "horse power" behind you he will recommend one of the top education lawyers in the country to litigate for you if necessary. You will discuss legal fees directly with the attorney.

Please feel free to contact Name and Title  by telephone or e-mail to discuss your IEP or 504 meeting.
